Learning to drive in Tottenham
Two hours before any match or event at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the High Road closes between White Hart Lane and Bromley Road, with traffic and buses diverted. For big events Haringey also switches on event-day parking controls across the surrounding streets. Checking what's on before you drive is a good habit here.
Tottenham Hale used to be a one-way gyratory. TfL rebuilt it as two-way roads with a new bus station, completed in 2014, so routes like Monument Way and Hale Road now run in both directions.
Tottenham test centre is at the Selby Centre, so its roads are close to home. Tottenham is a young, diverse area, so whether you've driven abroad or are starting from scratch, lessons are shaped around you, in manual or automatic.
