What are refresher driving lessons?
Refresher lessons are for people who already hold a driving licence but want to rebuild their skills or confidence. There's no set syllabus or test at the end — your instructor works on whatever you want to improve, from busy London junctions and roundabouts to motorways, parking or simply getting used to driving again.
How many refresher driving lessons will I need?
It depends on how long you've been off the road and what you want to work on. Some drivers feel confident again after two or three lessons; others who haven't driven for many years prefer a longer block. Your first lesson includes an informal assessment so your instructor can recommend a realistic number of hours.
How much are refresher driving lessons?
Refresher lessons are charged at our standard hourly rates — £40/hour pay as you go, or from £38.50/hour when you block-book 10 or more hours. There are no extra fees, and you can book single lessons or a block of hours.
Can I take refresher lessons in an automatic car?
Yes. Refresher lessons are available in both our dual-control manual and automatic cars. Many returning drivers choose an automatic to focus purely on the road, especially in stop-start London traffic — though if your licence is automatic-only, you'll need to stay in an automatic.
I haven't driven since passing my test years ago — is that normal?
Very. Lots of people pass their test, don't own a car for years, and then need to drive for work, family or a move. You won't be judged — our instructors are patient, start at your pace, and usually begin on quieter roads before building up to the conditions you'll face day to day.
